Success Case Study - Rosedale on Robson Suite Hotel

The Challenge: To sell a new concept of strata hotel ownership units to the investment community of Vancouver. The date: July 1993. Up to this time there had been a couple of roughly similar offerings, but without any success. Being first in the marketplace with this new concept in full form, the developer wished to sell 140 of 286 units.

The Solution: Edward Wong & Associates implemented a Guaranteed Return on Investment program and modification of compulsory rental pool program to attract investors. Creating enormous impact, a targeted sales and marketing campaign pre-sold 70 units prior to the official sales launch. The remaining 70 units were sold within 30 days after the launch.

Rosedale on Robson Suite Hotel was the first strata hotel project in Vancouver, and it successfully paved the way for future strata hotel projects such as the Westin Grand and the Vancouver Airport Marriott. Further, the project’s success demonstrated the ability of Edward Wong & Associates to handle Undivided Interests (UDIs) projects such as Klahanie Bay. It also emphasized our leadership commitment to developers with new real estate ownership concepts.
